National Orthodontic Health Month

October 4th, 2016

To help give children the most optimal outcome when it comes to facial growth, their bite, and a healthy, beautiful smile, October is National Orthodontic Health Month! This means trying to spread awareness of having your child's facial growth and tooth eruption checked by an orthodontist no later than age 7.

Dr. David Baker of Baker Orthodontics prefers to see children around age 3-5 to asses their facial growth, breathing/airway, and prepare parents with an idea of what to expect. This also helps encourage the children to look forward to their visits at Dr.Baker's office as they are very friendly, professional, and with Dr.Baker's unique training in cranio-facial orthodontics, you can guarantee Dr.Baker will be able to answer all your questions.

Give us a call to schedule your child's complimentary consultation at either of our convenient office locations: Portland Office 503-292-9192 or our Vancouver/Camas Office 360-891-6500. We look forward to meeting you!

When to expect your child's adult teeth to erupt....

October 4th, 2016

A question I hear every day is "When will my child's baby tooth fall out?" This is an excellent chart to refer to as a guideline of when you can expect to see adult teeth starting to emerge.

Some children loose and gain teeth earlier or later than others, however, it is important to keep track of your child's development because a delay can be a signal that a tooth is erupting on the wrong path or possibly stuck (impacted) due to crowding or a jaw imbalance. This is why Dr. David Baker at Baker Orthodontics like to see children around the ages of 3-5 so that he can start assessing your child's growth and development and help prevent any issues that may otherwise occur if not monitored.

Dr.Baker offers complimentary consultations for any age. Give us a call today and we can help your child ensure they will have the best chance possible for a healthy, beautiful smile! Portland Office: 503-292-9192 Vancouver Office: 360-891-6500
